Cuban Love Songs

I cry with the slightest excuse:
Cuban love songs,
Cancer in movies,
Self-sacrifice by mother cats,
Suicides, death by natural and unnatural causes,
Old people, young ones,
Tales of misspent youth,
But not songs of elderly decadence
(not many of those anyway),
Loss weighs heavily on my eyes,
The dark moons deepen with this weight,
I am not becoming wiser,
But even more sentimental.
