Liu Fangping
Liu Fangping (f. 742) was in the civil service but resigned from office when he reached his thirties to live a hermit's life. He was not only a poet but also a landscape painter. His extant poems number only twenty-six and most often celebrate the beauty of the landscape and his native village.
