W. Scott Olsen
W. Scott Olsen is a Professor of English and chair of the Environmental Studies Program at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, where he also edits the literary journal Ascent. His previous books include When We Say We're Home, A Year In Place, and The Sacred Place (all from the Univ. of Utah Press). "Road Notes" is a fragment from a new book, Gravity--The Allure of Distance, which the Univ. of Utah Press will publish in the fall of 2003.
