Roberto Pachecano
As a seventeen-year-old in 1965, Roberto Pachecano dropped out of high school to join the U.S. Marine Corps. A year later, he volunteered for duty in Vietnam. His essays and poems have been published in Pecan Grove Review, 2001 and 2002 issues. Other work has appeared in Distant Echoes, the San Antonio Express-News, and Texas Vietnam Veterans Magazine.
